Not sure how good your memory is, but back in November of 2014, a whopping 70% of Washington, D.C. residents voted for the legalization of marijuana in the district, a measure that is known as Initiative 71. Despite a predicted push back from Congress, almost four months later, weed is now officially legal in our nation’s capitol, as of Thursday, February 26.

Now, this doesn’t mean that you and the bros can kick off a massive bong session outside the The White House. There are rules to this. So with that in mind, we put together a video that breaks down what “legalization” means for the District, and what you can and can’t do. Check it out, because I’m pretty sure jail is very un-lit.
