Donald Glover, out here finally getting the recognition he deserves, used his big Golden Globes moment on Sunday to preach the virtues of Migos. While accepting the award for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy for his stellar FX series Atlanta, Glover thanked Migos for offering the world one of the greatest songs of all time: “Bad and Boujee.” Glover, who also bagged a Best Actor award Sunday night, thankfully continued the Migos praise backstage.

Asked by a reporter about his decision to “shout out Mygos,” Glover told reporters he simply wanted to acknowledge their unparalleled artistic contributions on the public stage. “Migos,” Glover said, correcting the mispronunciation. “It’s okay! They’re not here. So, it’s fine. I won’t tell ’em.”

Migos, Glover added, have already achieved legendary status. “I think they’re The Beatles of this generation and they don’t get a lot of respect, I think, outside of, like, Atlanta,” Glover said, according to Variety. “Not that they don’t get a lot of respect, but there’s a generation, sort of like the YouTube generation that I kinda came up with. There’s a generation of kids that are growing up on something that’s completely separate from a whole group of people.” Sounds like someone has been reading Justin Charity.

But “Bad and Boujee” is clearly in a league of its own. “Honestly, that song’s just fly,” Glover added. “There’s no better song to have sex to.”

Atlanta, our No. 2 pick for the best shows of 2016, was wisely renewed by FX back in September for a second season. Hopefully we can expect another Migos cameo.
